Swimming Carnival
What a fabulous day of swimming fun we had last Friday! It was fantastic to see so many students participating in various events this year. We had a record number of swimmers competing in both competitive and non-competitive distances, showcasing their enthusiasm and skill in the pool.
Our Kinder and Year 1 students had an amazing time visiting the carnival, thoroughly enjoying their first swimming carnival experience. There are certainly some future swimming champions among them!
A special thank you to all the parents and staff for their invaluable support on the day. Our carnivals would not be as successful without your dedication and enthusiasm. We also extend our gratitude to the volunteers from MacKillop College and Marist College who assisted on the day—your help was truly appreciated.
Congratulations to Mr Toby McNaughton on organising such a wonderful carnival.
This week, 26 of our talented swimmers will be competing at the South Weston Regional Carnival at the AIS. Congratulations to all who qualified, and best of luck in the competition!
Futsal Gala Days
On Thursday, our Year 5 and 6 students participated in their first Futsal carnival, with three teams proudly representing our school. Our boys' team secured 2 wins, 1 draw, and 3 losses, while the Girls Blue team achieved 1 win, 2 draws, and 2 losses. The Girls Gold team performed exceptionally well, winning 5 out of 6 games and making it all the way to the quarter-finals. A fantastic effort from all our players! Thank you to Mr Will Baldwin for his excellent coaching and supporting all students.
Looking ahead, our Year 3 and 4 students will be attending their first Futsal carnival at MPowerdome on Monday, April 7th. With four teams ready to compete, we wish them the best of luck and eagerly await their results!
Sports Stars of the Week
A huge congratulations to Asher, Ashton, Freya, and Kai, who have been selected to represent the ACT in the National Futsal Carnival later this year. Your hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship are truly commendable—we are so proud of you!
This week, we also want to recognize two of our incredible parents, Bianca and Kelly. These amazing ladies volunteered their time on Thursday to support our senior students at the futsal carnival. Despite having no prior futsal experience, they stepped up as outstanding coaches and mentors. Thank you for your kindness, leadership, and support!
Well done to all our students, parents, and staff for another wonderful week of sporting achievements!
