Dear Families,

Welcome back to Term 2! Even though it is a very different beginning to the term, the feedback we have been receiving around the remote learning package has been very positive.

I understand that there have been some issues with the new online platform, Microsoft Teams. The roll out was on Monday afternoon but apparently there were some technical glitches which are taking some time to iron out completely. Please be patient during this time as this is unknown territory for all of us.

I have had some emails in the last few days clarifying the school’s situation with students returning to school. At this stage, Catholic Education are reinforcing that our schools will not re-open for face to face learning. We are open to supervise children of essential workers whether that be on a full-time or part-time basis. As I mentioned in my letter early in the week, would you please give us a couple of days notice so that we can roster the appropriate supervision ahead of time. This arrangement will be reviewed during the course of Term 2 to ensure it is the best approach to meet the needs of our staff, students and school community.

As we manage our way each week in this current environment, I would like to personally thank everyone for their incredible support. Be assured that the staff are working hard to guide each student through their learning. It is a time of reflection and reassessment as we journey through to make sure that everyone stays healthy and safe.
