RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS
Welcome back everyone! I can hardly believe it is now Term 3 and we are half way through the year. As virus numbers improved, people relaxed and things started to return to a semi-sense of normal. Personally, I have felt a sense of relief to be able to do some of the things I love again even within the new guidelines. With the re-emergence of the Coronavirus numbers it is easy to feel disappointed, anxious and concerned that things might go back into lock down. When we trust in God, we have a greater capacity to deal with challenges and to be the best version of ourselves. Remember to pray, look to scripture for spiritual nourishment and above all, be kind. Showing kindness is free but it makes a big difference in the world of those around us.
Please keep the children preparing for their First Eucharist in your prayers. The sacrament will take place when we can gather as a community and if the restrictions for the Churches remain at 100. At this point, we are still planning to go ahead on Sunday 20 September and Year 4 families will be advised of any changes.
Some school masses will begin again soon, although there is no opportunity for parents and carers to attend these under the current restrictions.
‘…and be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.’ Ephesians 4:32
Blessings!
