Qkr! and ALBERT update
Dear Parents and Carers
Qkr! has now gone live at St Bede's. What is Qkr!? It is a payment app. At the moment parents can only pay their school fees (any amount), an enrolment fee and enrolment acceptance on it. In the future when various programs, events and fundraisers are up and running again, you will also be able to pay for those through the app. Please see the linked flyer below for a guide on how to install and use the app.
We are also working towards Qkr! being the payment method for both the Snack Shack and Boutique and phasing out Flexischools. This requires a little more time as all products need to be added to the app and as you can appreciate this involves a little more work. We are aiming to have that process complete by the start of the 2021 school year but will keep you updated. If you have stored credit on Flexischools it might be a good time to spend up, ready to close your account at the end of the year.
ALBERT is also on his way. He is not my dog who also goes by that name, but an EFTPOS tablet. Parents can pay their school fees and boutique purchases using a debit/credit card. For the time being please continue to order lunches through Flexischools. The only card the tablet will not accept is American Express. Once again you can pay any amount. You are welcome to pop in at any time and pay either the full amount of your fees or a portion of it once ALBERT is installed. I will advise once that occurs.
Fees can still be paid via Bpay and direct debit is also now available.
By implementing these payment methods, we are hoping to move towards a cashless/cheque less school. We are part of the Catholic Development Fund which is a subsidiary of the Commonwealth Bank who are closing more and more of their branches and also considerable man hours are lost going to the bank. In the current COVID environment, unfortunately cash is also no longer a wanted commodity.
Kind regards
Jodie
George is the white dog and Albert is the tan one but I am really not a royalist!
