Dear Parents,
As we embark on the return to school next week, I thought it was important to address a few things beforehand. We are very aware that many students will be apprehensive on returning to school. We will endeavour to cater for each child and their circumstances whilst ensuring that all children feel safe.
On arrival each morning students are to farewell parents at their car or at the front gate. A staff member will be onsite to assist with any anxieties. For pickup in the afternoon, students will be directed to cars as they arrive and are identified. Parents are not to be on the school grounds at anytime unless it is essential. The play equipment is not to be used at these times until further notice.
The students while at school will primarily stay with their year groups for all activities including playtimes. Students will have separate play areas that will rotate during the week. They will hand sanitise before leaving and returning to classroom after playtimes. All desks and classroom door handles are cleaned each day. Students are encouraged to bring their own sports balls during this time as we unable to constantly clean equipment.
All students should be in full summer uniform unless it is their sports day when that uniform can be worn. Sport days for all classes are Monday and Friday. Please ensure that all nail polish has been removed and small, simple earrings are in place. Students are required to wear a hat every day.
