Congratulations to our Year 4 Students!
Fr Trenton was our celebrant on the day and as usual was his amazing self, filled with the joy of the Spirit. We would like to thank him for sharing this special occasion with us. We would also like to thank our thoughtful class parents, Jenny and Sarah for organising a special cupcake treat for the children. I would also like to acknowledge the work of Judy Elliott, who quietly prepared the children behind the scenes so that they were ready for the sacrament.
Reminder that we have our toy/gift appeal for 6 -12 year olds. Please support this event by sending in a donation if you can. The last day we can receive donations is December 3.
Parish Mass is Back!
We will be holding our next St Bede’s family mass at St Peter Chanel’s on 28 November at 9.30am. We have been welcomed in with open arms by the parish community. One of our wonderful parent volunteers, Mel Kent organises morning tea following the mass. If your children is interested in learning how to be an altar server or sing in the parish choir please send me an email and I will pass on the relevant information. All students and their families are invited!

St Bede’s P & F Association held their final meeting of 2021 in the library last Thursday. The key issues that the parents wanted to share are –
- The next meeting is Tuesday 1 March 2022 at 7pm. This meeting is also the AGM where positions on the executive are filled.
- Danielle Hitchcock has been the President for the last two years and will be stepping down from that position.
- Jen Maher is relinquishing her role as Clothing Boutique Co-ordinator for 2022. Jen has kindly offered to be involved in the ordering but we need an overall co-ordinator.
We thank these wonderful people for volunteering their time for the benefit of the school community.
- After the 2021 school community event had to be cancelled due to COVID-19 lockdown, the next event has been organised for Friday 1 April 2022. More details will be supplied early next year.
During the week we were very excited as the preparation for the installation of the shade sail over the playground commenced!
We would like to thank Donaghue family and the P&F for their generous donations to make this possible.
Please remember to RSVP for this very special event on 3 December from 5.30 to 7.00pm.
Please extend this invitation to past and present families and friends.
Unfortunately, after a number of years at St Bede’s, Kerry Watson is relinquishing her position as the private piano teacher at the school. This position is one that traditionally has been offered during school time. If you know of anyone who would be interested in the position or you are interested yourself, please contact as soon as possible. Teacher must be suitably qualified and day/s of the week are negotiable.
