Welcome back to Term 2! I trust that you all had a restful and peaceful break with family and friends. Over the course of the holidays we experienced the joy of Easter as well as paid our respects to all service men and women, past and present, who strive for peace in our world. We commemorated ANZAC Day upon returning to school yesterday with our first whole school liturgy. It was a wonderful feeling being able to gather as a community without having to social distance and cohort. On a similar note, we are excited to be able to host school masses again with our patron saints feast day just around the corner on Wednesday 25th May.
During our staff professional development day on Tuesday, we were joined by Fr Trenton to lead us in mass. It was a lovely way to recharge our spiritual batteries before the commencement of the school term. I would like to extend a welcome to our Parish Masses held on the 4th Sunday each month during school term to gather as a wider parish community at 9:30am, St Peter Chanel’s, Yarralumla. Please bookmark the 29th May and 26th June for this term's masses. If you are available to assist with readings, altar serving and/or singing in the choir, please email ben.macintyre@cg.catholic.edu.au.
God Bless,
Ben Macintyre

Distribution of advertising signs for Open Day 6 May
It is nearly that time for Open Day on 6 May, where we invite prospective families to visit our wonderful school. We are again asking for parent volunteers to assist with the distribution of corflute advertising signs. If you are able to assist over this weekend or at the beginning of next week, please email breen.fox@cg.catholic.edu.au to organise collection and distribution. We are looking to expand our advertising area to include Jerrabomberra. If you live in this area and can assist, we would love to hear from you. Thank you for your support in advance.
Just a reminder that the Athletics Carnival will be held on Wednesday 4 May at Woden Park Athletics Field. Students should wear sports uniform or a top (no singlets) in their house colours.
All students require a signed permission note. Please click here to download the note. Students who do not return a signed note will not be able to attend.
A reminder that the St Clare’s Try a Day (4 May) and Open Evening (5 May) are approaching. Families are asked to register their attendance.
Students are welcome to catch their local St Clare's school bus if they require transport and will be supervised before and after the scheduled Try a Day program.
Please register your daughter's attendance at www.stcc.act.edu.au
