Congratulations to the following students who have been elected to the SRC for 2023:

We are still enrolling for 2023 in most year levels. You are invited to refer families for a tours or a conversation. If you know of any families who are looking for a change for their children, please ask them to contact the school.

School photos will be held on Tuesday 14 March and Wednesday 15 March. Students are asked to come to school in their full summer uniform for all school photos. Please be advised that we have changed school photographers to achieve a better price point and quality of photo for our families. 

More information in relation to school photos will be sent home in due course.

Parents are asked to ensure that their children are wearing the correct uniform each day. There are a number of students wearing incorrect socks, shoes and even clothing. Please note that notices will come home in due course as an additional reminder.

We thank you for assisting in upholding our uniform policy. This assists our student body to achieve a sense of belonging and be dressed approriately for the activities for the day. 

On Thursday, several Year 5&6 students participated in a very succesful Netball Gala Day at Deakin Playing Field. 

The students had a great day and we would like to thank Mr McNaughton for attending with the students, Jen Tiffen & Sophie Mitchell for coaching the teams, Kaela Graham-Bowman & Kathryn Gulan for scoring and Ava, a Year 8 student from John Paul College for umpiring.

Our Netball Co-Ordinator is currently registering teams for the Winter Competition. If your son or daughter is in Year 2 to 6 and would like to represent St Bede’s by playing netball during Terms 2 and 3, please click the link for more information and complete your expression of interest. Places fill quickly. Team cut off is 22^nd March 2023.

If your son or daughter is interested in learning Netball this Winter, South Canberra Netball Association (SCNA) runs a NetSetGo Skills course aimed at 5-8 year olds. It’s held on Saturday mornings around 11am (time TBC). You can register directly with the club (see link) and they will send you more information. The St Bede’s Netball club is currently calling for netball team players but this is for students in Yr 2 and above.
