St Bede’s Community Mass – An invitation to all families and friends.
Please join us at St Peter Chanel’s for our first community mass on Sunday 26 March at 9.30am.
Mass is a wonderful way to nourish our faith and join as a community. It is also important for those students who are preparing to make their sacraments this year, to connect with the church and feel a sense of knowing and belonging.
We are always welcomed with open arms by our wonderful parishioners who love having our families fill their pews.
If your child is interested in reading or altar serving (Year 5 or 6 Students), singing along with our choir (all ages welcome) or if you can bring a plate for our morning tea please let Nikki Dwyer know via email on Nikki.dwyer@cg.catholic.edu.au. But remember…it is not necessary to have a job, and all are welcome to join us, your presence is your present!
Let the spirit of St Bede shine through us all! Walk in love and peace!
Sacraments
Confirmation is an outward sign of an inner transformation.
On Tuesday evening it was wonderful to speak to the parents of our Confirmation candidates. They are certainly lucky to have such faith filled and committed people in their lives supporting them. We look forward to working with you and feel privileged to be able to support your children through one of the most important faith decisions of their life.
Loving God,
We pray for our candidates as they begin their journey of preparation. May they experience the love of God through their everyday interactions and be the light of Jesus to those they meet.
Amen
Nikki Dwyer, Breen Fox and Toby McNaughton

Congratulations to our school community for a wonderful athletics carnival. It was terrific to see students giving it their all and participating in so many events. This was an amazing display of sportsmanship from our students. A special thank you to a group of students who started to clean up without being asked. Their leadership resulted in many students assisting with the clean up.
Thank you to Mr Roberts and Mrs Charles for organising such a terrific event. We extend our thanks to our staff for setting up, running the day and packing up. Thank you to parents for volunteering to assist and coming to watch their children. Your children love to see you at these types of school events.
Have you had a look at Qkr! lately? It has been "tidied up" and non relevant payments have been removed to make for easier navigation. You can still pay for uniforms and lunch orders on the App and it has a new category called Class Payments. In that area you can now also pay your class kitty money and buy Easter raffle tickets. Single tickets and books of 10 tickets can be purchased.
You can still use Qkr! for the payment of school fees and we will advise when this is no longer an option. Please note if you use this method to pay your school fees, it will default to zero. This is because families owe different amounts and this gives them the option to select the amount they wish to pay.
As in previous years, our wonderful P&F will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday 1 April at Lennox Gardens. The exciting egg hunting will begin at 10.15am and hot cross buns will be supplied!
This year they are asking families to register through a google doc at: https://forms.gle/DeNg6vTfdJMZnPcy5
