Enrolment enquiries are looking very strong for 2024. This week our Year 6 students will be taking prospective families on tours of St Bede's. We thank them in advance for being great ambasadors for St Bede's. St Bede's offer enrolment tours all year round, so it is not imperative to tour during Open Week.

You are invited to refer St Bede's to our friends, family and colleagues. We strongly encourage enrolments from Red Hill, Forrest, Kingston, Deakin, Barton, Yarralumla, Griffith and Hume. Out of zone enrolments are still encouraged to enquire and visit St Bede's.

St Bede's parents are asked to enrol any school age children immediately. This will assist the school with forward planning and ensuring that we have 2 Kindergarten classes in 2023.

Several St Bede's students recently went to the South Weston Region Swimming Carnival.  They all gave their very best and did an amazing job.  Congratulations to Georgia who has made it to the next level!

Term 2 Fee Statements were emailed on Thursday 27 April.  Fees are due by Friday 26 May except for those families on an arrangement with the school. 

Over the coming weeks, we will be contacting families who are in arrears with their fees and asking them to come in for a confidential meeting with Andrew to set up a payment plan. These families will be placed on a direct debit arrangement which suits both the school and their individual circumstances.  

Welcome to Term 2!

We have our first working bee for 2023 in preparation for the School Open Week next week. We would love to see as many parents as possible lend a helping hand this Sunday from 2pm – 4pm at the school.

A BBQ will be provided by the P&F. It’s always a fun community event and the kids love getting involved as well!

Just a friendly reminder that the uniform shop is open on Friday morning from 8:30am – 9:30am.

Our uniform shop is run by solely parent volunteers. Each of these parents have their own regular jobs and are unavailable to open the shop at any other time.

Orders can be placed on QKR! and will be delivered to classrooms on a Friday.  School staff are not responsible for the uniform shop so for any urgent requests, please email uniform.stbedes@gmail.com.

We have lots of items on backorder and will be delivered to classrooms as soon as they become available from our suppliers. The long sleeve sports polos and beanies are due in the next fortnight.

Our winter netball season starts this weekend, we have the biggest cohort of netballers on record this year. Thank you to Jenny Tiffen, our netball coordinator, for the behind-the-scenes work getting your teams ready!

Our Term 2 P&F meeting will be held on Tuesday 23 May in the school library. All welcome! We will be making plans for a new St Bede’s community garden and looking for people to join the committee to help with this project!

St Bede’s P&F

Commencing Monday 8 May, Football Australia will run a 6 week MiniRoos program after school on the big oval at St Bede’s.  Each session will start at 3.30pm and finish at 4.30pm. 

The registration fee is $80 per child and includes a Participant Pack full of goodies including a backpack, ball, Qukes lunch box, Priceline voucher and a certificate. 

As this is the first time running the program, it will only be offered to students in Kinder, Year 1 and 2. Spots are limited and we encourage you to register ASAP to avoid disappointment.
