Mother's Day Mass/Bubbles & Cuddles
Thank you to Year 4, Mr Roberts and Fr Trenton for leading our Mother's Day Mass. A big thank you to all of the mums and important women in our community for attending our mass. This was a lovely mass and a special day to highlight the central role our mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, aunts, cousins, teachers and special friends who have helped to shape and form us into the person we are today.
Thank you to all who attended our annual Bubble & Cuddles. The children love to share their school work with their family members. Thank you for coming together and celebrating with us. A special thank you to Mrs Fox for organising this event.
We pray to our Mother Mary to bless all the mothers of our St Bede's Community. May Mother Mary bless you all, inspiring and energising you by her gentle example of love and perseverance. May she guide you each day as you care and guide your child/ren to grow and flourish. Below is a prayer you may like to pray together with your family on Mother’s Day.
A MOTHER'S DAY PRAYER
Lord Jesus Christ, You chose to put yourself—tiny, needy and helpless—into the nurturing and watchful hands of a human mother. Since then, every act of mothering, both physical and spiritual, in every time and every corner of the world recollects Mary’s. Inspired by this example, we, too, honour our mothers and mother figures today. Bless these women, that they may be strengthened as Christian mothers and nurturers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, honour them always with a spirit of profound respect.
We ask this in your holy name. Amen.
The enrolment window for 2024 remain open. Although Open Week has concluded, families are still able to book tours of St Bede's. Please refer any interested families to our office to make an apppointment. We invite all families to continue to refer our school and make recommendations.
Kindergarten
Kindergarten 2024 families are asked to enrol now to ensure a place in 2024. If you have any family members or friends with school aged children, please ask them to consider St Bede's. We have received a large number of enquiries and are currently assisting families with the enrolment process. Please ask all families to contact the school prior to completing any enrolment forms.
Year 3 Boys
Year 3 families will receive an email and short survey about their intention for 2024. We will have some families that elect to move to Marist in Year 4. Families should remember that Marist have agreed to guarantee the place of any St Bede's student who is Catholic and would like to commence in Year 7.
All students K-6
If you are intending to leave St Bede's in 2024, please contact the office and confirm your departure timeline. This will enable us to have the most accurate numbers for staffing purposes. It also assists us significantly in planning classes for the coming school year.
As to be expected Term 2 has seen an increase in the number of students with cold and flu like symptoms. Covid, among other illnesses has returned to St Bede's. If you have a sick child/ren, please keep them at home until they have recovered. This will assist in keeping our school community as healthy as possible.
Please note, that we have had wipes, tissues and sanitiser on hand in every classroom during 2023. Thes practices will continue to be in place. Students are asked to focus on these hygienic practices. Students will receive additional Rapid Antigen Tests. Please contact the school if you would like more.
Parents are asked to log student absences via the Compass App. This will ensure that teachers and the office know that a student is sick. It is the most efficient way to notify the school.

The Leading Edge: Women in Education Conference
On 16-17 May, Mrs Fox and Mrs Dwyer will be attending a 2 day leadership conference in Melbourne. The Leading Edge: Women in Education Conference is for leaders and aspiring leaders to develop a deeper understanding of leadership.
St Bede's are blessed to have such strong leaders that are committed to ongoing professional development for the benefit of our whole community.
We are asking for parents assistance in collecting any remaining St Bede's corflute signs. We believe most have been collected but if parents do see any signs, we would appreciate them collecting them and returning them to school. If you are not in a position to do that, please let us know the location so we can collect them. Many thanks.
Hello!
I'm dancing to make a difference for sick and injured kids and I need your help!
I am fundraising to support the 1500 families with a seriously ill or injured child that rely on Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney (RMHC GWS) each year. It’s important to me to help ensure they will continue to have a home-away-from-home when their child receives critical hospital care.
I am trying to raise $550 by dancing every day for 7 days in May. Please help me reach my goal by sponsoring me today!
Click through to make a tax-deductible donation now.
On average it costs RMHC GWS $160 to support a family for one night. So please, give what you can.
Another way you can help is by sharing this message to your friends and family. You can use this link to share: https://www.danceforsickkids.com/fundraisers/nataliah
Thank you in advance for helping me make a difference!
Catch me on the dancefloor,
Natalia H
