We are about to commence an enrolment campaign for Semester 2, 2023. As such, we are strategically enrolling students in some of Year Levels. Parents are asked to promote St Bede's and ask families to contact the office to have a discussion. Thank you to all who continually promote our wonderful school and ensure that St Bede's will remain strong into the future.
The following information will assist families to target specific Year Levels with places:

Year 3- places available
Year 4- closed to all enrolments

Congratulations to the students who made their Reconciliation at the Cathedral on Tuesday 21 June. It was a lovely and reverent celebration overseen by Fr Trenton. They are now in God's grace and preparing for First Eucharist, the next step in their sacramental journey.
Parent Reading Workshop – Supporting your Child’s Reading Development at Home (K-1)
We have had such a positive response to our first Parent Reading Workshop that we are looking to run another one Thursday 3 August, 3-4pm. This workshop is aimed at parents of students who are in Kinder and Year 1 at this time. However, all are welcome as we look into the Science of Reading and how, at St Bede’s, we are applying this in our classrooms.
Parents will leave the workshop with a better understanding of the Science of Reading, how to use a decodable reader, practical strategies to support reading that align with classroom practice and physical resources to support these strategies at home.
If you are interested in coming along, please fill out the Google Form by the end of next week. Link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/10isx8M6DS05kVfzAeaCDqfVJvrey7mwR9Y8xuTlqz2c/edit
Looking forward to working with you!

ACT/Regional NSW Primary School Skiing Championships
St Bede's is thrilled to announce that we will be participating in the upcoming ACT/Regional NSW Primary School Skiing Championships, scheduled to take place on July 18-19, during the first week of Term 3. Our dedicated team is gearing up to showcase their exceptional skills in a variety of skiing and snowboarding events, such as alpine, moguls, and ski cross. Adding to the excitement, our team members will proudly display uniquely designed helmets that represent our school spirit. We extend our gratitude to William Story for spearheading the nomination process and initiating the formation of our team. Let's hit the slopes with enthusiasm and determination, aiming for success and a remarkable experience!
Boorowa Netball and Touch Football Carnival
Exciting news! The highly anticipated Boorowa Touch Football/Netball Carnival for 2023 is finally making a comeback after several years of pandemic-induced cancellations. St Joseph's Primary and Boorowa Central School are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to St Bede's to join us in this annual sporting event. Mark your calendars for Friday, October 20th, as that's when the action will unfold. St Bede's has been an enthusiastic participant in the past, fielding multiple teams and travelling by bus to Boorowa. This year, we invite teams from Grade 2 to 6 to be a part of this event. To kickstart the organisation process, we will be sending out an expression of interest form early next term. Get ready for an unforgettable day of fun and excitement!

With the weather turning cooler, students are looking for warm things to eat but as a school we have certain rules and guidelines we have to follow. Please do not send your child to school with 2 minute noodles that require boiling water to cook as we are not permitted to use hot water around the students. Please also do not send your child in with food that requires heating as once again due to regulations we cannot heat students' food up. We would hate to see a child burned by food that was too hot.
It is recommended that parents wanting warmer food for their children use a thermos or some other container that holds warmth.
