We had a very successful winter woolies drive for St Vincent de Paul last week. Once again the St Bede's community showed their generosity and compassion and donated vast amounts of winter items for the night van to collect. Most of the items were in new or almost new condition and we thank the community for their support of such a worthwhile cause.
We held our first parent information session for First Eucharist on Thursday and it was a very special, spiritual afternoon. We will host two more sessions on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 August and parents who have not yet done so are invited to register via the google form sent out last week.
On Friday 11 August we will hold our Eucharist Retreat Day and are looking forward to a day filled with reverance and understanding of this important sacrament. Children are welcome to wear casual clothes on this day.
Next Tuesday we will celebrate a mass for St Mary of the Cross at noon, all families are welcome and special invitation to Year 2 Gold families and a big thank you to Mrs Elyse Charles for preparing this mass.
Looking forward we will celebrate The Assumption with the Archbishop. This is on the 15 August and will be a memorable occassion. We are looking forward to celebrating with him.
Blessings

Australian Primary Principal's Day
Happy Australian Primary Principal's Day, Mr Casey! We would like to acknowledge the love, time, effort and knowledge that you contribute to our school community. Thank you for making our school a place of learning, safety and fun. You are a valuable asset to our school.
From the students, staff and parents of St Bede's.
At the conclusion of the enrolment period I advised the community that there would be only 1 Kindergarten class in 2024. We have been given approval from Catholic Education to attempt to create a second kindergarten class for 2024. Please note that this is not approval for a seond class. As a school we must reach 46 enrolments to achieve this.
St Bede's needs your help. As a community, I ask that you extend invitations to as many school age families and ask them to have a tour of St Bede's.
Boorowa Netball and Touch Carnival - Important Update
Thank you to the parents who have nominated their children for the upcoming Boorowa Carnival. We're thrilled to announce that an impressive 109 students are eager to take part, which is nearly half of our school's enrolment!
To ensure a smooth process, a permission and payment request will be sent early next week. Kindly note the participation costs:
- Students utilising the bus service and joining a team: $40
- Students being privately driven and participating in a team: $6
- Parent bus fare: $34
Our arrangements include reserving two buses, accommodating a total of 96 individuals. However, a minor challenge has surfaced as we have received interest from 107 participants, including students and parents, who wish to use the bus service. Additionally, we need to factor in space for accompanying teachers.
For those willing to assist by driving and taking a small group of students, please reach out to me in the next few days. Kindly provide the names of the students you plan to transport.
Your support and cooperation are greatly appreciated as we work to ensure a fantastic experience for all involved. Let's make this carnival a memorable success!
