Consideration of student needs 2024
Much time and effort is placed into organising class groups each year. Teachers take into account class dynamics, friendships, needs, academic and sporting ability, and much more when considering where each child is placed.
Parents are invited to contact the office to make an appointment with Andrew for a phone call or meeting to discuss individual needs of a student if they deem it necessary. This conversation is about needs only as opposed to teacher selection. Please note that parents should not approach class teachers to make requests.
It is anticipated that all relevant conversations will take place by Friday 10 November.
Parent HITPs Information Session Postponed
After receiving limited responses to the Parent Information Night on High Impact Teaching Practices on Monday 30 October, we have decided to postpone this event until 2024. We are conscious that this is a busy time of the year and there might more interest at the beginning of the year. We look forward to sharing this information with you at another time.
Snack Shack closed on Friday 3 November
Our lovely volunteer, Sarah, is unavailable on Friday 3 November. As such the Snack Shack will not be open on this day and all students will need to bring their lunch.
On Thursday 2 November, Naomi and Brenton Colley from Lightbulb Studios will be taking our Year 6 graduation and leadership photos. As such we ask all Year 6 students to wear their sports uniform with their leadership shirts on the day. We thank Naomi and Brenton for generously giving up their time to take these photos.
Boorowa Touch and Netball Carnival
Congratulations to the 111 students, 40 teachers and parents who attended the Boorowa Carnival last Friday. It was a magnificent day where the students played against all different schools from NSW and ACT. A huge thank you to the parents that coached each of the 11 teams and it was certainly enjoyed by everyone involved.
Save the Date - the 2024 Boorowa Carnival has been set for Friday 25th October 2024 and the buses booked already!
In discussion with the uniform team, a decision has been made to relocate the uniform boutique to another building/area. The new space will enable parents adequate room to peruse uniforms with their children. Access details will be communicated in due course. This change will also assist the school to have another room for group work and other meetings, etc.
The group are also currently reviewing uniform options for St Bede's. It is envisaged that uniform information will be communicated with the community in coming weeks. The uniform requirements will be clear and concise and provide all students and parents with clarity. 2024 will see a focus on students wearing the correct uniform each day. To achieve this, we will require the support of all parents.
