EASTER IS NOT OVER!
"He is not here; he has risen!" Luke 24:6-7
As we bask in the glow of Easter Sunday, it is important to remember that our celebration does not end with the passing of a single day. Easter is not merely a date on the calendar; it is a season of profound significance in the Christian faith, extending far beyond a single day of rejoicing. I am sure that we are filled with a renewed sense of hope as we conclude Term 1. Easter is a time of reflection, renewal, and rejoicing. I trust that all had a wonderful break and took the opportunity to relax and reflect.
In the spirit of Easter, let us carry forward the lessons of compassion, forgiveness, and resilience into our daily lives. As St Bede’s, we are called to embody these virtues not only in our words but also in our actions, fostering a nurturing environment where each member feels valued, respected, and supported. At times, this can be a challenge as we become tired in the final days and weeks of each term. Parents are encouraged to give their child a rest day should they feel it beneficial.
Let us remember that Easter is not just a single day of celebration, but a season of transformation and renewal. It is a time to embrace the promise of new beginnings, to rise above challenges with unwavering faith. Over the past weeks, I have had the opportunity to meet and speak with parents of new students who are looking to embrace new beginnings at St Bede’s in 2024 and 2025. I extend my thanks to the wider community for promoting our wonderful school and connecting with families as they commence their St Bede’s journey.
In the Gospel of Luke, the angels at the empty tomb declare: "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!" These words remind us that the resurrection is not merely a historical event but a present reality that continues to shape and transform the world around us. Let us remember the true meaning of Easter and encourage all to connect, and spread hope and kindness. There are a lot of things that I am proud of in relation to St Bede’s. One of the most important characteristics is the way that our community is connected. Our connections are real, they are strong and they are valued.
Regards
Andrew
Thank you to our many parents who put up our corflute signs but it is now time for them to come down. If you are up and about this weekend and see some of our signs on the side of the road, we would greatly appreciate you collecting them and returning them to school next week. Thank you for your ongoing support to promote our wonderful school.
School fees are now well and truly overdue and we have many families who still have outstanding accounts. We would appreciate parents settling their account prior to the end of term. As always if meeting your school fee commitment is an issue, we ask that you contact the office to make an arrangement. Many thanks.
