Welcome back to all our wonderful students and parents! I extend a warm welcome to the new families that have now joined our community. We have 5 new students joining us this term.
As we embark on Term 2, we're happy to have your continued support as we continue to work together, nurturing and educating our students. Your support and involvement are invaluable, and we look forward to another term filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences for our entire school community.

2025
May is the official enrolment window for catholic schools in the ACT. As you are aware, St Bede's commenced our enrolment drive early this year. Although there has been a strong response in relation to Kindergarten enrolments, we still require about another 10 enrolments to enable a second class.
You are asked to invite any family and friends with school aged children to reach out and come for a tour of St Bede's Primary School. Thank you to all who have been actively promoting our wonderful school.
2024
We have been receiving a steady flow of enrolments across other year levels this year. As previously advised, we are only accepting enrolments in particular classes as places are becoming even more limited. Kindergarten and Year 5 are closed for enrolments, however, we are awaiting the arrival of new students that previously confirmed enrolments.
At St Bede's primary School, open communication between parents and teachers is essential for the success of our students. We encourage parents to reach out to their child's classroom teacher in the first instance for any concerns or questions regarding their learning journey. Your insights and collaboration are vital in ensuring the best possible support and outcomes for your child. Thank you for your partnership in your child's education.
Term 2 sees a number of staffing changes. I warmly welcome new and returning staff back to St Bede's.
Muisc Teacher- We welcome Mrs Veronica Moore back to St Bede's. Veronica taught music here about 10 years ago. Music will continue to be 1 hour per class each fortnight (Friday).
Ground and Maintenance- Mr Greg Egan will commence at St Bede's this week. Greg will be responsible for grounds and gardens as well as minor maintenance tasks. This is a newly created position as we move away from using contractors.
Clerical/Marketing and Communications- Mrs Felicity McDonald commenced at St Bede's this week. She will support the Leadership Team with administration tasks and be responsible for marketing and social media. This is a newly created role and we look to further define this role in due course.
Year 3 Gold- We welcome Mrs Veronica Trow back to St Bede's. Veronica returns after 12 months of leave following the birth of her first child. Veronica will work each Monday in 3 Gold.
Pupil Free Day (Term 3-22 July)
Just a reminder that Term 3 will start with a pupil free day on Monday 22 July 2024. This day provides our dedicated staff with valuable time for professional development, ensuring we continue to deliver the highest quality education for your children. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday 23 July. Thank you for your understanding and support.
