Capturing First Day Memories – A Heartfelt Thank You to Lightbulb Studio
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Naomi and Brenton from Lightbulb Studio for once again capturing the joy and excitement of our newest Kindergarten students on their first day of school.
For the past three years, Naomi and Brenton have generously volunteered their time and talent to provide beautiful keepsake photos for our families. Their dedication helps preserve these special memories, making the start of the school journey even more meaningful.
Thank you, Naomi and Brenton, for your kindness, generosity, and for being such a wonderful part of our school community.
Guide for the expenditure of Class Kitties
Purpose of the Class Kitty
The class kitty is a voluntary contribution made by families to support the wellbeing of our school community. These funds are used throughout the year to provide pastoral care, acknowledge significant life events, and contribute to special occasions within our class group.
How the Class Kitty is Used
Funds collected through the class kitty will be allocated to the following:
- Celebrations: Small gifts or tokens to celebrate birthdays, new babies, and other joyful milestones within our class community.
- Support in Times of Need: Thoughtful gestures such as flowers, meals, or cards for families experiencing hardship, illness, or bereavement.
- Class Activities: Contributions towards small class events, treats, or special experiences to enhance the sense of community among students and families.
- Teacher Appreciation: Acknowledgment of our teachers' dedication, typically in the form of a group gift at the end of the year or on special occasions.
Contributing to the Class Kitty
Participation in the class kitty is completely optional yet highly encouraged. Contributions can be made via the ‘Class Payments’ section on Qkr!
Management of Funds
- The class kitty will be managed transparently by class contacts, who will ensure fair and appropriate use of the funds.
- A record of expenses will be maintained, and families are welcome to reach out for clarification on how the funds are being used.
- If there are surplus funds at the end of the school year, they may used for a final class event, as agreed upon by the class contacts.
- Any unused funds are donated to the Community Council.
Staying Connected
Class contacts, volunteer to support communication and strengthen our school community. If you are aware of any significant life events—whether celebratory or challenging—please let class contacts know so they can offer appropriate support.
Thank you for your generosity and involvement in making our school community a warm and caring environment for all families.
