Welcome back to Term 3! We hope the school holidays provided a chance for rest, connection, and quality family time. It’s been wonderful to see the smiling faces of our students returning this week, ready to engage, learn and grow.
As always, Term 3 brings a rich variety of learning opportunities, events, and celebrations. We look forward to continuing our strong partnerships with you as we support every child’s academic, social and spiritual development. With the year now well underway, we’re reminded of the strength of our school community, rooted in shared values and mutual support.
This term, we are also introducing the opportunity for online Parent-Teacher Conferences, which will take place later in the term. We hope this new format provides added flexibility and greater convenience for families to connect with teachers and discuss each child’s learning progress. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.
We thank you for your ongoing support and involvement. We are truly blessed to journey together in faith and learning.

Staffing and Class Structure Update for 2026
We are pleased to share that St Bede’s has received its staffing allocation for 2026, allowing us to move forward with planning for next year.
In 2026, we will welcome two Kindergarten classes, and our current Year 1 cohort will be formed into two Year 2 classes. We are also pleased to confirm that we will have two classes at each year level from Kindergarten through to Year 5. Year 6 will remain as a single class in 2026.
This structural change marks an important step towards establishing a consistent two-stream model at St Bede’s. It enables us to maintain slightly smaller than normal class sizes where possible, support student wellbeing, and deliver high quality teaching and learning experiences across all year levels.
It also means that we will welcome a number of new teachers in 2026. Please pray for our school and those involved as we undertake the recruitment process.
Mrs Elliott has advised of her intention to retire at the conclusion of the 2025 school year.
St Bede’s extends sincere thanks for Judy’s dedication and service to the students, staff, and families of the school. Her commitment and care have made a lasting impact on the community and she will be greatly missed.
An opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge Judy’s significant contribution will take place later in the year.
The recruitment process for Judy’s replacement will commence shortly. Announcments will be at the conclusion of the recruitment process.
Interschools Snowsports Championships
This week, five of our students represented St Bede’s at the Interschools Snowsports Championships. Congratulations to Robert (Year 6), Xavier (Year 6), Ainslie (Year 4), Arliah (Year 3), and Louis (Year 3) for proudly flying the St Bede’s flag and competing with great enthusiasm against a strong field. We’re proud of your efforts and look forward to sharing results soon!

A friendly reminder that our next P&F Meeting will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm in the school library.
These meetings are a valuable opportunity for parents to come together, stay informed about school initiatives, and actively contribute to shaping the life of our St Bede’s community.
We warmly encourage all families to attend. Whether you’re a regular participant or it’s your first meeting, your voice and involvement are always welcome and appreciated.

Please note that the school canteen will be closed on Friday 15 August. Students are reminded to bring their own lunch and snacks on this day. We appreciate your understanding and support.
