The Snack Shack will be available for lunch orders on Thursday 25 September (last day of Term 3).  Orders will need to be placed by 5.00pm on Wednesday 24 September.  We thank Tess and her team of volunteers for enabling us to offer this service to families.

The Compass Kiosk located in the front office has had an upgrade.  It has a new interface and will now ask for further information after you have selected the reason for dropping off or collecting your child/ren.  For example,  if you select a medical appointment, you will need to provide more details of the appointment.  Please note, this new feature requires a minimum of 10 characters.  We are aware that this may cause delays and we apologise for any inconvenience but it is beyond our control.

AFL Clinic

On Tuesday this week, AFL Canberra visited St Bede’s to run a clinic and give us a taste of AFL. All the students had a fantastic time learning new skills and trying out a different style of football.

Snowsports

Congratulations to Xavier C (Year 6) who recently competed in his first National Championships for snowsports at Mt Buller. Xavier proudly represented St Bede’s and achieved a silver medal in Ski Cross MC. Well done, Xavier!

Cross Country

Congratulations to Georgia G (Year 5) who represented the ACT at the National Cross Country Carnival. Georgia placed 17th in Australia in the 10 Years Girls division—a wonderful achievement. Well done, Georgia!

Boorowa Carnival

Thank you to everyone who registered for the Boorowa Carnival. Teams have now been finalised, and I will be in touch with those parents who volunteered to assist with coaching or umpiring to confirm availability.

AusKick Program – Term 4

In Term 4, AFL Canberra will be running an Auskick program at St Bede’s on Monday afternoons during Weeks 1–4. If you are interested in your child participating, please see the details below.

Mrs Linda De Salis has been appointed to the Defence Mentor role, commencing in Term 4 and continuing until the end of Term 2, 2026. This role may be extended further, subject to the receipt of annual funding. Linda will work each Friday in Term 4 and pick up and additional day in 2026. 

Linda brings with her a wealth of teaching experience, prior experience in the Defence Mentor role, and a deep commitment to her Catholic faith. She is well regarded for her gentle nature and the care she shows in supporting students and families.
