A warm welcome to everyone for the start of 2021! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and holiday break. It is lovely to see the children all bright and refreshed ready for another busy year at our school.

 Our theme for this year is ‘Love One Another’.

‘I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another’ John: 13, 34-35

It is our responsibility as Christians to be the examples of love and unity in our homes and communities. This will be explored as we travel through this year.

I have a couple of messages to begin the year that can’t wait until my Principal’s message next week.

Parent Information Night is scheduled for next Tuesday 9 Feb evening. Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions and mass gatherings, this will be a virtual event this year. Our parent information nights are a community focus event where we usually gather to meet, share and bring together both new and present families. With the 1.5m socialising rule as well as no sharing of food and drinks, we believe this is the best alternative. More details will be forwarded early next week with links to the presentation.

Our opening school year mass is also next week on Wednesday at 12 noon. Again due to restrictions, we are only able to invite the parents of Year 5 and 6. We are limited to 2 adults per family so unfortunately siblings and grandparents will be unable to attend. I ask that families confirm their attendance to Jodie at office.stbedes@cg.catholic.edu.au as soon as possible so that seating can be arranged.
