Dear Parents and Carers,
The season of lent reminds us to put aside the old and be refreshed on the inside.
We are called to be more rather than have more. We can do this by allowing the fruits of the Spirit to work through us.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [a]gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5:22-23
We bear fruit, through our learning and attitudes:
Patience: Keeping calm, waiting on others, listening to others and showing acceptance of difference.
Peace: At St Bede’s we walk in love and peace, through our actions and words we can resolve problems and show compassion.
Faithfulness: Remaining steadfast in our values and being true to each other as well as God.
Gentleness and Kindness: Acting with respect and tenderness.
Self-control: Regulating our responses and behaviours to avoid undesirable outcomes.
Be You Day – 19th March
Join us in making Be You Day a huge success! All you have to do to join the fun is make a donation on the QKR App to support Project Compassion.
On Friday 19 March, students can come dressed in colours and clothing that represents their personality. It is also completely fine to come dressed in clothes that represent what they want to be when they grow up. We are calling it the Be You Day and we are really excited to see how the students individually express themselves.
Confirmation
Confirmation packs will go home this week to the students enrolled in this Sacrament. I will contact all parents to discuss preparation and home learning that will support the school program.
Blessings

St Bedes Class Contact System
At St Bedes the parents run a class contact system. The role of the class contacts is to assist with communication about school happenings, support the wellbeing of families in the class and encourage school community e.g. organising class social gatherings. Generally, 2 parents volunteer for each class.
Some parents have already put their hand up to be the class contact for their year, but there are still some vacancies. If you would like to volunteer please email Fiona Torline (Class Contact Coordinator) fionatorline@gmail.com
