Parent/Teacher Online Check In Meetings
Bookings are now open in Compass Conferences for Parent/Teacher Online Check-in Meetings. Meetings will be held online via MSTeams from Monday 15 - Wednesday 17 September.
You will be invited to join the meeting via a link that will be emailed by your child's classroom teacher at the end of Week 8. Each meeting will run for 7 minutes, focused on your child’s academic and personal development this term.
Bookings will close at 5.00pm on Sunday 14 September.
If you require any assistance to schedule a booking through Compass, please contact your child's classroom teacher in the first instance.
Year 6 bookings and meetings have been paused whilst we wait to confirm Mr Baldwin's return date. We will confirm dates for Parent/Teacher Meetings with Year 6 families as soon as this information becomes available. It is possible that these meetings will be held at an alternative date.
Considerations for class placement 2026
As we begin planning for class placements in 2026, I invite parents who would like to discuss considerations regarding their child’s placement to make an appointment to meet with me.
If you have previously met with me about class placement, I ask that you please make contact again so that we can revisit and confirm any considerations for the coming year.
To ensure the process is consistent, I kindly ask that parents do not make requests directly to class teachers.
Appointments can be made during Weeks 8–10 of Term 3, which provides teachers with the necessary time in Term 4 to carefully prepare class lists.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Carlo Acutis Canonisation – A Beacon for Youth Around the World
This weekend is a very special day for the Catholic Church and for today's youth. Carlo Acutis, often called the first millennial saint, will be canonised on 7 September 2025. Carlo’s life, lived in our own digital age, is a powerful reminder that holiness is not distant or old fashioned, but accessible and authentic.
Carlo was a 15 year old who died of leukaemia in 2006, Carlo was renowned for his boundless love for the Eucharist, his simple prayers, and everyday kindness, especially towards the poor and marginalised. He used his talents with technology to build a website cataloguing Eucharistic miracles worldwide, earning him the nickname “God’s influencer” and even “patron saint of the Internet.”
For our students, Carlo is a timely companion, he embraced video games, soccer, and modern media, not for distraction, but as opportunities to deepen faith and serve others. His example shows that digital fluency and holiness can go hand in hand. He encourages young people to design a faith filled life grounded in daily prayer, compassion, and authenticity.
Let his life remind us that serving God joyfully in the modern world is possible, and that even our smallest actions can echo into eternity.

Students and Personal Digital Devices
We have become aware of students accessing personal communication devices such as phones and smartwatches during the school day.
Students may have access to these devices before and after school for communication with parents. However, during the school day, we follow ‘Off and Away’ procedures as they may be a distraction and pose safety and privacy risks.
Parent and student communication during the school day should be through the front office or teacher email. If students require their smartwatch to tell the time, parents are asked to activate parental restrictions on the device to avoid students communicating, taking photos and playing games on their watch. Otherwise, their smartwatch should left at home. All mobile phones should be handed into the front office to be locked safely way.
The school does not take any responsibility for loss or damage to mobile devices.
Please refer to the Student Acceptable Use ICT Policy and Personal Communication Devices Policy (both of these policies have been attached for your reference. They are also available on the Catholic Education Website).
P&F Annual Survey – Have Your Say (and Win Pizza for Your Kids)
Want more dinners? Fewer raffles? Bigger sausage sizzles? Now’s your chance to tell us! Your feedback will help shape the future of the P&F, including the events we run and how we can boost parent participation across the school.
And the best part? The year group with the most responses wins a pizza lunch… because nothing says "parent power" like free pizza for your kids.
Click on the link to complete the survey (all answers are anonymous beyond your child’s year group). Survey closes last day of term Thursday 25th September.

A reminder to families that students should not arrive at school before 8:30am, as staff supervision begins at this time. If a student does arrive a little early, they are asked to remain seated on the silver seats outside the classrooms until the teacher arrives.
For families who require care prior to 8:30am, Camp Australia provides a before school program. Please contact them directly to discuss your requirements and to make the necessary arrangements.
